Description: Paul Pangaro is a technologist, marketer, and cybernetician. He got a BS at MIT, was a researcher at the MIT Media Lab, went to England for a Ph.D. in cybernetics, ran his own software research company for 15 years, was CTO for a number of startups, and became a Distinguished Market Strategist at Sun Microsystems. He currently splits his time between working at incubator Idealab (acting CTO for Snap.com), teaching cybernetics and design (Stanford University), and writing about the human cost of everyday activities (biocost and co-evolution). Paul and Pip first connected through the shared desire to decipher the human challenges inherent in technological and organizational change.
